The Republican State House Committee is the main political arm of the Oklahoma House of Representatives' Republican Caucus. Our goal is to ensure that the Republican Caucus continues to be the majority caucus in the House, so that we can apply pro-growth, common-sense conservative solutions to Oklahoma's state government in this, our second century of statehood. Speaker of the House Chris Benge has appointed Representative Mike Sanders of Kingfisher to be the Honorary Chairman of the Republican State House Committee. Representative Sanders follows a long line of honorary RSHC chairmen who have worked to elect and maintain a Republican majority in the House. In 2004, Republicans won the majority in the House for the first time in over eight decades and for only the second time in state history. By strengthening that majority with each election cycle, we hope to continue promoting conservative reforms and responsible government at the state Capitol to benefit all Oklahomans. |
